Lou Gramm "The Original Voice of Foreigner"
Event Details
Lou Gramm, the renowned rock vocalist from Rochester, New York, began his musical journey in his mid-teens, playing with local bands like St. James Infirmary and PHFFT. He later fronted the band Black Sheep, the first American band signed to Chrysalis label, but an icy accident during their tour led to their premature end.
In 1976, fate intervened when Gramm met Mick Jones, and he became the lead vocalist for Foreigner, propelling them to become one of the most successful rock bands of the late 1970s and 1980s. Despite ongoing internal conflicts, Gramm released a successful solo album, "Ready or Not," and continued to collaborate with Foreigner intermittently, leaving a lasting legacy in the music industry chronicled in his autobiography, "Juke Box Hero: My Five Decades in Rock 'n' Roll," released in 2013.
